Front Row Center was founded in 1991 in Boca Raton, Florida. The founder, Elliot Goldman an audio veteran since 1972 moved in Florida to begin this new venture and journey. After college graduation in 1972, Elliot went to work for Lafayette Radio in NY, his first job was building and wiring sound rooms for this large company on a major expansion. His passion for music and sound grew and finally he was promoted to be an assistant manager in NYC. He spent two years in the city and later on Long Island building a clientele in better audio. When the opportunity to join Long Island's first High End store he jumped at the chance. Elliot was approached by the owner of Sound Experience to help him make that L.I. first high end retailer. They were Long Island's first Mark Levinson, Audio Research, Magnepan, Dahlquist, KEF, Linn Sondek dealers. These companies and others were at the forefront of the high-end revolution. Elliot left two years later to found his own store called Audio Den which still exists today in Stony Brook. A short time later he met Harry Pearson, editor of the Absolute Sound, a magazine dedicated to the high-end landscape, who introduced him to Michael Kay of Lyric Hi Fi in NYC. Lyric was considered to be the "temple of the high end." Elliot sold his interest in Audio Den and went to work for the ultimate store in the ultimate local, the Big Apple. It was here his knowledge and expertise grew exponentially. Having the ability to listen and work with the world's best products and to interact with the designers and engineers who created these cutting edge products was invaluable to his education. His 11 years with Lyric and Mike Kay was a very valuable and exciting time in his life.

It was time to pack to go out on his own again and so he packed up the truck and moved to Beverley... well actually Boca Raton, Florida. In 1991 Front Row Center became a reality. FRC was a small high end audio store that over the next five years grew into a high-end audio video specialist. In 1996 the idea to expand and move the store started to crystallize and with the help of two investors Front Row Center Theater & Sound became a reality. Elliot's passion for music and his growing interest in video came together in this cutting edge store. Florida's first real in home theater was assembled as the centerpiece of the shop. A real room with theater environment and state of the art sound and picture was on display for all to see. The desire for the best in video and state of the art audio became the ingredients for the perfect stew.

In 2002, Chris Cotter, Front Row Center's installation manager, decided to join the team for real. Chris and Elliot bought out the investors and Chris became a partner. Chris, younger with a burning interest in video, computers and automation was a perfect match to Elliot's audio and video training. Chris had been an enthusiast and a client of the store almost from the beginning and finally he had to come to work at FRC. Since he was there all the time anyway, it seemed like a good idea at the time. Chris is a perfectionist in the installation area. Chris is patient, exacting, and has an uncanny knack for finding the solutions that are necessary for the completion of jobs in the "custom "world.

The business has grown and become the high end destination for those who appreciate performance in both audio and video. There is much more to a great home theater or music system than a remote control and some buttons. This is the mission statement of FRC. Great performance with ease of use!
